Research Interests:

My research goal is to discover the computational principles underlying the human brain¡¯s remarkable ability to learn, process and store information, with a concentration in the visual cortex in order to build biologically-inspired vision system. I believe that research in visual attention should not only be limited to modeling neural and behavioral data but should also be extended to practical applications. To achieve my goal, I have proposed an attention selection model with online learning and visual memory. My past work focused on cognitive mapping of my attention model. I developed a visual memory model to mimic both Short-Term Memory (STM) and Long-Term Memory (LTM) in human brain. My model could perform various tasks by learning. Currently, my work focuses on three aspects:
