Zhao
Weidong was born in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province in December 1971. He
got his Master from Hefei University of Technology in 1998 and PhD
from Southeast University under the supervision of Prof. Sheng
Zhaohan in 2001. His areas of interest include decision-making
support theory and its application in business intelligence,
electronic business, and business process management etc. In 2001,
he was awarded the first prize for Technology Advance of Chinese
Universities by Ministry of Education. He worked as a post-doctorate
at Management School, Fudan University from June 2001 to May 2003
together with Professor Huang
Lihua. From June 2003 on, he was admitted to Software
School of Fudan University as an associate professor. He is
responsible for courses including electronic business, management
information systems and business intelligence for undergraduate and
graduate students. In recent years, he has taken part in more
than ten research projects funded by National Natural
Science Foundation of China, the National High Technology Research
and Development Program of China, China
Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Shanghai Science Committee and
Shanghai Telecommunication etc. At present, he is in charge of a
project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of
China. He has published over 70 research papers in key journals and
important international conferences such as Journal of Management
Sciences, Journal of Systems Engineering, Systems engineering Theory
& Practice, Systems engineering & Electronic technology,
Management Science in China, Management Engineering Journal, Systems
engineering Theory Method Application,
Mini-Micro
Systems, Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems
and PACIS2002, IEEE SMC2006, PAKDD2007
etc. In addition, he has published some teaching papers in Journal
of Computer Education. He has been invited to write several
comments by Shipping Transaction Bulletin, CIO Insight, AMT
Frontier and Information System Engineering etc. He is also co-author of
two books named E-business
models and Process
Management, which have been published separately by Fudan University
Press in 2006 and Intellectual Property Press in 2007. He has served as PC Members or reviewer for some key
periodicals and international conferences in
the areas of e-business, management information systems such as
ICEBE2006, ICEBE2007, ICEBE2008, IEEE SMC 2007 -2008 and an expert committee member
of Beijing information industry and IT863.
In 2006, he visited Hong Kong
University as a visiting scholar.
