Yi-Ming Liu 刘一鸣
I joined Cooperative Information and System Laboratory(CISL) in September 2006, and began my pursuit of the PhD degree, supervisor by Prof Ning GU. I received the B.S. degree in software engineering from Jilin University at Changchun in 2006. My main research interests are computer supported cooperative work(CSCW) and distributed computing.

LFDB: Wrapping relational DBMS as lightweight Cloud Storage Platform
LFDB here means Lock-Free Distributed Database. We want to invent a light-weight database wrapper to support eventual consistency in relational DBMSs for cloud computing. Our goal is three fold. First, we want a data consistency model that is semantically intuitive and practically feasible for Internet-scale applications in the cloud environment. Second, we want to leverage powerful existing DBMSs instead of creating simple ad-hoc storage systems. Third, the consistency mechanism must allow for properties such as high elasticity and availability that are essential in a cloud environment. -
Web2.0 Consistency Maintenance : Consistency Control for replicated XML Document updates
In order to enable maximal online collaboration and sharing, we propose a lock-free mechanism that can maintain consistency among mirror sites on the Web. The mechanism is flexible and efficient method to achieve consistency maintenance in the Web 2.0 world. -
CoEclipse : Real-Time Shared Editing
CoEclipse is a plug-in for Eclipse, which is supposed to be a tool enabling developers to reap the benefits of multiuser real-time programming (such as pair programming) within the Eclipse IDE.
